Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia — Australia) is steam-distilled from the twigs and leaves of the melaleuca tree, native to the subtropical coastal regions of Australia. Its pungent, evergreen, needle-like aroma is crisp and powerfully cleansing — one of the most celebrated healing and disinfectant oils in the world.
Aromatherapy Properties: Cleansing, healing, and rejuvenating. Relieves insect bite itching. Purifies the mind and body of emotional wounds, releasing old patterns and enabling healing.
⚠️ Important: Tea Tree essential oil is for topical use only — it is not safe for ingestion.
Physical Therapeutic Properties:
- Powerful disinfectant and immune booster — effective against a broad range of tropical infections and diseases
- Promotes nutrient absorption and overall systemic protection
- Cicatrisant — heals wounds quickly and protects from infection; relieves itching from mosquito, tick, and chigger bites (used extensively at the Monastery during summer months)
- Hair and scalp care — treats dandruff and hair loss; increases blood flow to hair follicles when applied diluted to the scalp
- Pain relief — relieves muscular pain, aches, and sprains
- Cellular regeneration — speeds all healing processes and increases the rate of new tissue and cell growth
Mental & Emotional Therapeutic Properties: Refreshing and cleansing. Eases mental stress and purifies the mind and body of emotional wounds. Once old wounds are released, the body can shift the behavioral patterns that led to the wounding in the first place.
Blending: Blends beautifully with cinnamon, clary sage, clove, geranium, lavender, lemon, myrrh, nutmeg, rosewood, rosemary, and thyme.
